During the Connected Worker Summit in Houston, I got the opportunity to host a round table on “Building the Industrial Metaverse”. At the Round Table, various industrial leaders shared their thoughts on the most important use cases & applications behind the Industrial Metaverse.
After the Round Table, I conducted a survey of various industry leaders where I invited them to vote on their favorite use case. Here are the results:
As you can see, training continues to be the favorite use-case for the Industrial Metaverse (32%). However, it is quite amazing that Collaboration (29%) & Virtual Experiences (26%) are extremely close at 2nd and 3rd positions.
This is really exciting. It’s a clear indication that the Industrial Metaverse is shaping up as an integrated “platform” as opposed to being adhoc pieces of technology created to solve specific problems. Diverse set of users from different enterprise functions will benefit from a common virtual environment that’s accessible all the time.
